About the role

The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary client contact for delivery of facilities management services and manage multiple facilities management functions.

What you'll do

  • Directs facility management staff to deliver service levels within the prescribed budget to the client.
  • Reviews client's strategic plans and determines appropriate staffing levels to meet expectations.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Develop and maintain vendor partnerships with the intention of cost-saving efforts.
  • Reviews capital project and operating budget reports for multiple properties. Builds action plans to improve financial position(s).
  • Manages negotiations for contract services.
  • Reviews various facilities management reports. Meets with client management team and appropriate departments to discuss and resolve discrepancies.
  • Establish and coordinate service across multiple locations throughout the client's portfolio.

      • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
      • Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.
      • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
      • Ability to comprehend , analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
      • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and leads all aspects of department budget.
      • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
      • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of leases, contracts and related documents.
      • Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.

        CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Workplace Experience Director position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Workplace Experience Director position is $185,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
