performance apparel.Job DescriptionIn this newly established role,
reporting to the CFO, the VP of Strategy will lead the strategic
plan for the brand by partnering with executive and
cross-functional leaders to drive the strategy, focus, and
prioritize key initiatives to enable the long-range strategic plan.
This position will initially focus on the refinement and
articulation of the Company's integrated product, customer, and
marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for driving the
development and execution of the underlying strategic initiatives
tied to customer, product, and marketing and will play a pivotal
role in shaping the company's long-term strategic direction,
identifying emerging trends, articulating where we win, and
potential white space.The ideal candidate will possess a deep
understanding of the apparel industry, exceptional analytical
skills, and a proven track record in strategic planning and
execution. This person will naturally exhibit excellent
collaboration and communication skills and have the ability to roll
up their sleeves and come alongside business partners to solve a
problem. A strong understanding of a direct-to-consumer apparel
business is a must.QualificationsWhat you'll get to do:
- Lead and facilitate the development of our annual strategic
plan to maximize growth and profitability of the company's total
revenue base and brand/product/channel portfolio.
- Partner with the Strategic Finance team to build an integrated
Long Range Plan, delivering long range top-line growth and target
profitability.
- Lead a complex high-profile portfolio of strategy projects that
integrates product roadmaps and customer strategies.
- Leverage cross-functional resources and insights from a broad
range of partners to build analysis of the competitive landscape,
identifying key trends and appropriately assess global
opportunities to guide strategic direction.
- Prepare presentations and materials for the Executive Team, the
Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders (both internal and
external).
- Partner with the Consumer Insights team to identify themes,
build brand and commercial strategies to help realize the ambitions
of our corporate Long-Range Plan.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by championing new
ideas, process enhancements, and best practices across the
organization.
- Partner with the strategic finance function to connect
long-term strategic plans to the long-range financial plan,
connecting commercial opportunity with financial investments.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and
excellence by providing leadership, mentorship, and development
opportunities to team members.
- Work in partnership with the leadership team across various
divisions (buying, planning, marketing, stores, e-commerce) to
connect strategic, commercial, and collective business goals.
- Exhibit excellent collaboration, communication, and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate
complex information in a straightforward way to all levels of the
organization.
- Be a visionary strategist and scaler, adept at connecting the
dots between vision, the innovations, and the infrastructure
required to achieve it.
- Demonstrate the ability to engage with and influence
decision-making at all levels of the organization (CEO, ELT, Brand,
Operations, functional leaders, and other functional
counterparts).
- Be a data enthusiast who brings a very detail-oriented yet
adaptable approach to problem-solving with experience analyzing
complex data to develop insights and make recommendations.
- Be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable with
change and ambiguity and able to handle significant
responsibility.
- Have a passion for fashion, trends, and consumer behavior.Who
you are:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, management
consulting, or commercial strategy roles within the apparel or
fashion industry.
- Understand trends in retail, brand and apparel industry, aware
of competitor strategies, knowledge of dynamics in both the US and
a global business with globally distributed teams.
- Experience with key frameworks related to corporate strategy,
brand development, commercialization, and business
development.
- Experience in designing a multi-year corporate strategy for a
large, global organization and in developing and executing
strategic plans for business growth required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing,
Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex
data, draw actionable insights, and develop data-driven
recommendations.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results, fostering
innovation, and delivering value to customers and

$250,000 per year - $280,000 per year. This role is bonus
