Job Description:
A local leading organization is currently seeking an
Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to work in Glendale/Los
Angeles for a temporary opportunity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist Environmental Coordinator with a variety of regulatory
compliance activities related to air & water quality, waste
management, chemical use, and employee safety.
Includes MSDS management, storm water programs, EHS related permits
and inspections, supervisor training, and contract
administration.
Develop and maintain records necessary to comply with federal,
state, and local regulations.
Mainframe safety training tracking
Track / schedule required Tank testing at each location
Safety inspections / loss control activities
Help track permit conditions for resource agencies
Help with bidding service items
Ideal Candidate will have the following knowledge, experience and
skill set:
BS degree, EHS related a plus.
Familiarity with SCAQMD, Cal/OSHA, and hazardous waste rules
desired.
Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills a
must.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
