Responsibilities Include:

-Benefits administration, including: keeping record of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan; personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations etc.

-Participates in the recruitment effort for all nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; works with management to ensure promotion from within when appropriate; writes and places advertisements as necessary.

-Plans and conducts new employee orientation

-Administers affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

-Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required.

-Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Qualifications:

All applicants must be Bilingual in English and Spanish and must have considerable technical knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources and its major functions.

Education and Work Experience

-A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience, OR any similar combination of education and experience.

-Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is suggested.
